NT Beats The Mustangs in Super Pit Showdown
Oh man that was a fun game. The Super Pit was packed — 7,000 or so, which is not a full house but a good number to be sure — and had the most students in school history. SMU was in town for the first time in over 20 years. The good guys had been missing some key dudes — Rubin Jones and John Buggs — and they were back in the lineup.
The early returns on their appearance were 1) Rubin made an immediate impact and 2) John Buggs made some yuuuuge threes late in the game and 3) Rubin got re-hurt.
