North Texas had a chance to win the game late. The defense, much maligned all week for their last-place rush defense ranking against Navy’s powerful rush attack, got a stop. Roderick Brown got into the backfield and took down Navy’s fullback for a three-yard loss. Navy punted and North Texas and Chandler Rogers came out with two minutes and a time out left to get three points.

Rogers was sacked, and NT could not convert on 4th and 10 on a toss to Burns and that was that. Here are some quick thoughts on this one.
