The best place to watch the NCAA Tournament is at a casino. All of those televisions and people invested in this thing. You can gamble on the outcomes and really be invested. The second place is your couch. The couch is significantly less expensive, but also it probably is just you and maybe one kid or a spouse that is a little interested.
I watched some of Day 2 at a casino, hanging out for a friend’s birthday. It was fun. I saw FAU lose in Overtime.
If you are a fan of rooting for units — the pay that leagues receive for tournament participation — you will now have to root for UAB the rest of the way.
Anyway, I lost money, as is the way of a casino. I call it “fun robbery” as they are good at separating you from your cash but while you are laughing about it. I did not put any sports bets down but I was thinking about how I remember that placing legal sports bets used to require a casino visit. Now? You can bet during the game on your phone. Everything is gambling now and while consenting adults can do whatever they please it does also mean there will be some consequences.
