Aha, was just wondering. Thought it might be PatrickCobbs but then thought, nah, he's a positional coach and needs proof that he can coordinate an offense before being eligible for handling even interim head coaching duties, this makes more sense.
the funniest one to me is always 'We're going to recruit local'... meanwhile i'm like, i don't give a crap where you get the kids from, just make sure they behave off the field and make the other team cry on the field.
Ha, yeah. Never understood UT-Austin's pro-intra-Texas admissions program. Don't they want extra money, and reach, from out-of-state students? This is standard, so-called "G6" mantra. It's nice, to some, but if a local kid isn't as good as a guy from Florida, California, or Pennsylvania, then try and make a play for at least one of those guys!
Start with the O-Line, and D-Line, because the game of football (being more "pure" in college football than what variation the NFL purveys) begins and ends at the line-of-scrimmage. Assume the next man-or-two up from the QB room, out of some combination of Jimmerson-and-Poffenbarger, and focus on the depth at the RB-position (CalebHawkins might stay, but cannot do it all and did get injured and his back-up messed-up at least once on the field; UNT does not have the RB-depth that it was spoiled with as recently as the previous season, let alone during the Fine/Aune years), and then the WRs and Special Teams unit, starting from a BETTER PUNTER, capable of pinning the opponent deep in their own territory, without it becoming a "touchback" in or out of the end-zone. A "DevinHester" isn't even "needed", just get, maybe an Aussie-rules punter worth his salt, and blockers who know what they're doing and won't risk getting hit by a live ball.
NM Bowl, is it? Ah....returning to the scene of the crime....where a crippled MasonFine and one of the, then, best UNT teams went and underperformed against Utah State's greatest team, led by JordanLove. GET THAT F'N REVENGE, PLEASE!!!
Actually, a real question... Do we know what Hawkins injury was? Any chance he would even be healthy enough to play (assuming he is just sitting for portal)
Am "quite" happy that NealBrown is at least saying (but likely means it) that he'll want to "run to win" and it won't be most-all "passing-first", just "pass-happy-at-best", which this fan is fine with if the aforementioned differences from a previous article on this site between the "Air-Raid" and the "West Coast Offense" are retained.
In a relatively-unrelated note, but still relevant to the "Coaching Carousel": New began breaking last night that SherroneMoore has been fired "with cause" at MICH and more news on his situation has finally reached this user's eyes and ears.
SherroneMoore's Tweet about "there's going to be some sore ladies tonight", years ago, did not age well and has been detained across two district offices (due to travel involved) after at least threatening to assault (charges of "assault" allow, in this instance in Michigan, to include threats of harm not necessarily physical attacks) a woman in an apartment that he was in a relationship with. He was juggling two relationships, his own marriage, of which he cheated on, and an infidelity, of which she was cheating on her own husband with, and was said to have threatened self-harm to both his wife and girlfriend, and it was his wife who was able to track his movements that led the police to him before he could harm either himself or either other party involved.
He's gone. As a bettor, speaking to any other bettors on here wanting to make parlays of the bowl games and CFP: H-A-M-M-E-R, like one's first name is "MC", the UT-Austin Longhorns with an angry Bevo over MICH in their bowl game, because ArchManning and SteveSarkisian are also wanting to leave "on-top" and show-out to the world what they're capable of, with SteveSarkisian going to TEN in the NFL and wherever ArchManning ends up. Bank on it!
Svoboda will lead the team as interim for the bowl game.,

I don't know. They won't reveal details on that. I hope that the 20ish days will be enough to heal him up.
Also want to know and still do not know.
I’d be shocked if Hawkins ends up playing. He has nothing to really gain. I’d love to see him play, I just don’t see it.
