MGN Open Thread #3

This is the third open thread — so far so good. What is it for? Whatever you want. I think of it as a good place to put some things that don’t fit in a Forum thread, but also less specific for a topic on a post.
I expect to learn today who will coach the bowl game. Eric Morris is going to be freed to perform his duties in Stillwater. The funny part about all of these coach intro videos — of them talking to the team and to the public — is that there are so many clichés. Did you know that Hartline wants to play fast, physical football? Did you know that Eric Morris wants to build relationships with his players, k? Did you know that Neal Brown wants his team to play smart?
It’s good, and I certainly can’t think of a better speech but it is quite hilarious when you listen to Colin Klein saying the same things as Morris, Hartline, et al with the same kind of background. It all runs together.
The forum has some thoughts on the new coaches as part of Brown’s hire, some other links, as well. We have acquired some Neal Brown 2024 WVU all-22 tape and will be looking through what we can expect from Brown. He has always been an Air Raid guy, and like everyone not named Leach, he has added a lot more run game. “We will run to win.” he says.
the funniest one to me is always 'We're going to recruit local'... meanwhile i'm like, i don't give a crap where you get the kids from, just make sure they behave off the field and make the other team cry on the field.
Actually, a real question... Do we know what Hawkins injury was? Any chance he would even be healthy enough to play (assuming he is just sitting for portal)
